Several YN members of the OCCC participated in a nickel search in Q1 of 2010. The search was started during the week of January 24 and continued for ten weeks. The intent was to determine how many of the Westward-Ho nickels could be found in general nickel population. Approximately a dozen club members joined in the activity by acquiring 2 - 5 rolls of nickels each week, searching through the rolls and noting the findings. Each participant was given a tally sheet on which to record their findings. The completed sheets were returned and totals so that the overall findings could be presented during National Coin Week (April 2010). Below are some of the notable findings:
